The Problem
We as a society in the West, have been completely removed from conflict. The feminization of society creates a culture where avoiding conflict of any kind has become the norm. It is in part because men have assumed the feminine traits of conflict aversion. As Canadian psychologist Jordan B. Peterson would put it, women are more agreeable, compassionate, empathic, and conflict-averse. Meaning they tend towards avoiding conflict of any kind, even if someone is stepping over boundaries. That is where men come in, to draw a line in the sand when their family's boundaries are being disrespected. We as a society in the West have allowed this to proliferate and become the norm for both genders. Men that are afraid to speak their minds for fear of creating discomfort to those around them has become standard practice and it has led us to become so pacified toward any sort of abrasion in life, let alone death and war. Violence is something that happens in video games and the inner city. Ironically, as society keeps delving deeper into the abyss of progressivism, and we experience the absolute depravity of leftist policies, including the rise in violence, people begin to value strong, dangerous and violent men. However as discussed at nauseum on this substack, not violent for the sake of violence, but for the sake of protecting those not capable of protecting themselves. Men are supposed to be the ones who put their foot down and note when a line has been crossed. Only modern men don’t do this, and are thusly rolled over by governments and women without protest. The lack of conflict also contributes to us in the West supporting foreign conflicts. We do this because we don't understand it. We don't understand the horror of war and thusly are very lax with who and what we support overseas.
The Reason
We humans have an incredible capacity for both compassion and inversely violence. We as humans are incredibly adaptable to our environment. So when you begin to imagine times of old, antiquity, and ancient civilizations long past. You think of incredible artwork, incredible culture, and incredible tradition. Inversely you think of the incredible violence that accompanied these peaks in civilization. We adapted to the environment in which we found ourselves. The same goes for today. In the West, as mentioned before, we find ourselves in a highly feminized society. Thusly, men have adapted to be these beta versions of themselves. As Joe Rogan put it, the same way we got chihuahua’s from wolves, years of selective breeding and domestication, and a complete change in environment. Once a mighty predator of the wilderness, now a living, breathing decoration for a suburban soccer mom’s handbags. The wolf was slowly castrated through this process. Well this is the same way we got male feminists from the likes of Vikings. The once fearsome warrior of the north. Clad in animal skins and wielding cold steel axes, with a tinge of animalistic rage in their eyes. We now look at these same “Nords” and they have the most “progressive” societies in the world. What happened? The men adapted to the slow feminization of society. They learned to weasel their way into the role of male feminist so they can blend in, and the loss of the traditional role of breadwinner, destroys the balance. We have lost those capable men who are both protector and provider.
Violence is not innately bad. Violence without purpose is bad. However today, any form of violence is protested by those same suburbanite liberals. We can see it in schools. A boy stands up to a bully and uses violence with purpose. The purpose of defending a helpless victim. He is fulfilling his innate role of sheepdog, the protector of the flock. However, he gets punished. They now have “zero tolerance” policies for violence and are teaching young men that being a protector is inherently shameful. There is no justice. My take on this is, that if your son finds himself in this situation, you praise that young man when he gets home. There is no shame in doing the right thing and using violence in defence of the defenseless.
